Ah, April. Smell that fresh spring air!

April is time of renewal and growth. Where the weather is in flux (sometimes every few minutes, all day long) and we are happy to have any reason to celebrate. Fortunately this month we have two at d.trio. Partner, Maureen Dyvig had a birthday on April 4th (Happy Birthday, Mo!) and AE, Tim Swenson celebrated his 3rd anniversary with d.trio on April 22nd. (Congratulations to Tim!) Tim has grown so much in his three years here – he’s smart, personable, detail oriented and responsive – and most importantly he builds great relationships.

Read about Tim in his mini-profile.

How does your life situation look now compared to when you started at d.trio?
When I started at d.trio I was engaged and renting a town-home. The following is what happened (in chronological order over my three years at d.trio):

Took names and kicked ass when I started at d.trio -> Married -> Bought a home -> Adopted a cat (Lois) -> Mowed the lawn -> Had a baby boy (Finn) -> Lost sleep -> Still taking names and kicking ass.

What elements of the job have you enjoyed the most in your three years?
My clients and coworkers. The clients I work with are always friendly, personable and professional. I enjoy helping them in any way I can. My coworkers are always willing to lend a hand when I need it and are there to give advice when I don’t. :p

What’s the most challenging aspect of being an account executive?
Balancing AE time with home.

What piece of technology helps you most in your job?
Spotify. When I need a shot of adrenalin, I just turn up the volume and start plugging away. Does coffee count as technology? ‘Cause that helps too.

What do you like most about working downtown in the North Loop?
It’s not too crowded.

If you had an office nickname, what would it be?
Old Man Tim
