We’re just back from a fun trip to Atlanta and Alpharetta, Georgia, visiting clients at SunTrust and Synchrony. The weather was beautiful and we had our fill of great meals and days packed with efficient meetings. Thanks to all of our great clients for making the time to meet with us. Awesome. The pictures are classified (ok, we didn’t take any).

On May 4, our office participated in AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) training sponsored by the Designer’s Guild Building, who recently installed two units on the premises. The instructor was knowledgeable and engaging, and did a great job of helping to ease the fears of anyone who might need to use the device on a person in need. We all left the training feeling empowered and ready to save a life.

Our print vendor, John Roberts, ran a promotion in April for their customers. They printed packages of fun, colorful Cinco de Mayo-themed coasters with instructions on how to enter to win a catered Mexican lunch for your office. Tim entered d.trio into the contest and we won! On May 5, we were treated with a wonderful spread of taco fixins’ that had us thinking about siestas around 3:00 PM. Thanks to Jerry at John Roberts for hosting our fiesta!

Each week, our company takes a 30-minute coffee break together to put our work aside and catch up with each other (and crack a few jokes, of course). Over the past few weeks, two people have used it to showcase their kitchen talents. Wil made bagels—like, actually MADE them from scratch. And cream cheese spread too. Wow! Maureen made 3 kinds of quiche. They were still a little warm when they arrived. Turns out her secret to the creamy texture was, well, cream. What a treat! I wonder what’s next.

We also had one birthday to celebrate in May. AE, Tim Swenson, celebrated getting another year older by eating – of course – brownies and ice cream. An impressive amount of each was consumed as usual.
