Sheryl took a relaxing week of vacation to sunny Florida in April. Golf was the main activity, with a total of 99 holes played with her favorite partner, husband Jim. Golf Tip: don’t go looking for any lost golf balls, or you might just run into an alligator like the one they encountered on the course. (Thank you, zoom lens.) The highlight of the week was a short stay in Clearwater Beach—Sheryl’s self-proclaimed happy place. Walks on the beach, live music, and delicious sangria…what’s not to love?
Megan was fortunate to get away for 5 days of golf in Palm Springs—a quick but welcome respite from the brutal winter. Now she’s back in the office, refreshed and ready to go!
Carol celebrated her birthday weekend in NYC with a whole lot of eating requiring a whole lot of walking. Also on the agenda, a visit to the Tenement Museum, the Frick, and the 911 Tribute Memorial. The highlight of the trip? Hamilton on Broadway. Followed closely by Levain’s chocolate chip cookies!
For the seventh year in a row, Mark spent a long weekend brushing up on his novel writing skills at the Midwest’s premier writing conference—the Writers’ Institute conference in Madison, Wisconsin. He says that while the workshops and speakers are always educational and inspiring, nothing beats unwinding after a long day with a brandy Old Fashioned sweet on nearby State Street.
As you might have heard, founding partner Maureen retired from the agency at the end of March. But of course, we couldn’t let her go quietly. So in true d.trio fashion, we gathered the troops at Parlour for a happy hour get-together in Maureen’s honor. Drinks, food, laughs, and more than a few tears were shed as we reminisced about the past 18-plus years. We’ll miss you, Mo!
