We think they came here just to shop 😉

Barney Jackson and Greg Daney from SunTrust Mortgage recently braved the cold weather to visit us here in the bold north. During their stay, they spent some time at d.trio’s office and also toured the production facilities of two of SunTrust’s preferred print vendors. Our team enjoyed the opportunity to socialize with them during the two days they were here, which included dinner and a tour of the Mall of America. It was their first visit to Minnesota, but we hope it wasn’t their last. May we suggest, however, coming in the summer next time?

Project 333

Our latest $333 donation went to The California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund. The fund supports intermediate and long-term recovery efforts for major California wildfires. Grants from the fund support those who were displaced or lost housing, belongings and/or employment, or suffered physical or mental health problems. The dollars raised help to rebuild homes, provide basic needs assistance, financial assistance and follow-up medical care and supplies. They also help to educate homeowners about green rebuilding and provide disaster preparedness information. Due to recent tragedies, the Foundation is waiving all fees on gifts to the fund, ensuring that 100% of donations go to organizations making a difference in communities affected by wildfires.

Noteworthy tidbits

Megan has been busy traveling again. She recently visited Austin, TX, where she toured the LBJ ranch and the Alamo, went to a college football game, and dropped in on a few wineries—one of which had a castle theme and props from The Chronicles of Narnia. In her hometown of Chippewa Falls, WI, she participated in an art show at the Heyde Center for the Arts that honored her first art teacher, Hugh Mandelert.

We almost lost Fred to jury duty for a few weeks, but he faked bias toward the defendant, so he was removed from the pool. Just kidding—he was never summoned. And he’s relieved to be off the hook for at least four more years.
